Uisge-Beatha

As you take one gulp, not a sip, warmth runs through the veins and dances in your throat. On the other hand, a sip taken in a manner that imitates the flow of an explosion scene subjected to slow motion, you'd witness the amalgamation of your sub-conscious and consciousness into a new plane of dimension. Perspectives aligned, opinions become inconsequential, vocal abilities no longer required. In simpler words, just let go and let life happens, let "uisge-beatha" engulfs you.

Savor its smoothness, never hurry the consumption, because the alternate is just around the corner once you have taken that turn.

Note:
For those who are wondering, "uisge-beatha" or "uisce beatha" is respectively a Scottish and Irish phrase that means "water of life", and guess what? This phrase is the origin of the word "Whiskey". An alcoholic beverage, with the first written record of it indicating that monks in Ireland is also responsible in its production (according to Wikipedia).

Inside a room, surrounded by panels of oak trees and posters of famous connoisseurs, chats of trivialities flow like Harriet the Giant Galapagos Land Turtle. Every now and then, interruptions of Hoyo de Monterrey being inhaled or sips of an 18 year old Scottish malt, decorated the unpretentious laughters of questionable characters such as I.

On the second floor platform, blue skies and the undeterred sun kissing the eyes that envision white spherical objects flying up then down, to their temporary abodes on the green. Hands and legs, steady with the longing for sounds of deep sighs of relieve. Not a single indication of urgency in each breath.

Am I experiencing the finer things in life? Are all things of enjoyment necessarily mean adrenaline rushing through the body? What does it really mean to "live life to the max"? What is life in its truest meaning?

In this blog, I will never attempt to define (despite the blog title) what "Fine" really is about, I will never dare attempt such a preposterous deed. The only purpose will be to "share" what I consider to be simple appreciations of patience and consistency in any thing that life has to offer.

Hope you will enjoy my upcoming reviews, rants, thoughts or even chants.
